Modernist architecture is a recent development that has started popping up in many countries all over the world. This has been on the increase especially in various cities of the world that are constantly expanding. Additional features and the improved designs and styles are the very characteristics of these modern buildings.
Materials used in modern architecture
The variety of materials that were used to make the buildings in the olden days has also given way to modern materials. Who would have thought that buildings would have glass exteriors in the olden days? However, these days, the buildings are much stronger, durable and also have various materials like steel, glass and concrete which are used to build these buildings.
Designs
The modern architecture has a variety of architecture plan and designs that are completely different from the previous designs. In the years gone by, there were mainly rectangular buildings that were the only ones that were built. Any building that was not conforming to the design was thought to be variants. These days, it is becoming more and more difficult to see rectangular buildings and instead, there are various designs that are replacing these kinds of buildings.
Modern Architects
A new breed of modern architects has also been one of the main reasons for the progressive changes that have happened in the architectural plans and also in the use of the materials. Though there are a variety of materials available, it depends on the architect as to which one will be selected. This has made the modern architecture to be progressive in nature. As new buildings are being built, they are also safer because of the various changes in the designing of these buildings.
Whatever the reason for the change in the architecture from age old traditions to a modern phase, it has been a blessing in disguise for the human race. The safety features and the other comforts in modern architecture have made this to be the sign that society and the human race as a whole is marching towards greater heights!
